LADY BSMOOVE

​SpokenWord Poet, Vocalist, Songwriter, and Author Lady BSmoove is in midst of creating her 3rd Independent album 'THE LADY'.  Set to bring a glimpse into what she loves and what life has taken her through thus far.  She released her 1st debut album, 'Thought You Knew' in October of 2008 and it was sold in stores throughout the DFW Metroplex and at shows/events from Dallas, Texas to Atlanta, Georgia.  She released her 1st self-published book of poetry titled ‘Live, Love, Dream...Too’ in 2018, serving as the companion to the previously released album ‘Live, Love,....Dream’(2015). Lady B worked with artists like Original Soul (musician and producer), Mario “Mr. Havic” Porter (producer), and Drin Elliot (keyboardist/producer) offering her the creative space and development to speak her truth artistically and progressively throughout the art of her poetry and music. 

The Lady’s poetry and music inspired journey began in 2006 while hosting and performing at The Kaffe Coffee House in Dallas, Texas, alongside artists from the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area. Lady Bsmoove has performed in front of all ages; from schools and community centers to HipHop concerts and Fashion Shows. Since then, her poems and lyrics have been published in poetry collaboration books by Regent Publishing and even wrote and performed the titled piece to the documentary film ‘Beneath My Skin’ (June 2014) by author/screenplay writer N’Tyse.

Since her start in this creative arts world Laby Bsmoove have shared the stage with the likes of Malcom Jamal Warner, Audacious IAM, Sunny Patterson, Masterpiece the Poet, Prudence the Auset, and many more. Lady Bsmoove has featured on multiple local stages from The Black Academy of Arts and Letters (Dallas, Texas), Muse Theater (Dallas, Texas), and The Texas Theatre.  Spreading her talents nationally to feature on stages like The HeArt Series (Houston, TX), The Boys and Girls Club of Memphis (Memphis, TN), Apache’ Cafe’ in Atlanta, GA, and many other states.

Lady Bsmoove is still working at being a great artist and serving the community best she can thru her art. In March of 2021 Lady B became Art Program Coordinator for local Art non-profit organization Arttitude.  Here she is given the space to create and curate projects for seasoned and upcoming LGBTQ+ artists across all mediums.  She created the Women's Art Culture Showcase (W.A.C.) which consist of African American LGBTQ Women artist. Creating safe spaces for all artists to speak on issues on identity, culture, and social climates. The 1st show was Nov. 19th, 2021. Then Lady B curated the Women's Art Culture - Juneteenth Edition showcase for the Dallas Museum of Arts (6/17/2022). The show was part of their Late-Night art series held inside the Horchow Auditorium and noted was a sold-out house and hadn't had that happen in a few years. Lady BSmoove continues to be an entrepreneur and artivist who continues to fight; reminding us all to Live, Love, and Dream –NO MATTER WHAT.

  • Her works have also been nominated for a Legacy of Success Foundation Award for Best Literary Works and a UBE Ally Award.

  • Co-Owner and Event Coordinator of SmooveQ’s Entertainment and Catering Company 2009 - 2011

  • In 2010 Lady Bsmoove joined forces with spoken word artist Audacious IAM and went on tour for 3 weeks.  Sharing her work throughout Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee, and Georgia on The Southern Made Tour. 

  • 2012 Lady BSmoove hosted the 3rd Annual South Dallas AIDS Walk

  • Dallas LGBT Pride Monthly Kick Off at City Hall and Dallas Pride Celebration (Dallas, Texas – 2012, 2013) Hosted, Music Coordinator, and Opening performer for national recording artist Monifah.

  • Deep Ellum Art Festival (2010, 2012, 2015)

  • 2015 -Main stage at Kwanza Fest (Dallas, TX)

  • 2017 & 2018 – Co-Creator of The Pink Elephant music Festival (Austin, TX)

  • Created own Business named BSmoove's Creations 6/2020
